Discovery Project - VR House Search:
During the first and second semesters of my first senior year, my Computer Science CAPSTONE course challenged me to work on a team of students to meet industry-sponsor tasks and standards in an exploratory discovery project. My team got lucky and working with BI Inc. were able to conduct a virtual reality (VR) discovery project. My team and I dove into Unity and C# to develop a physics-based house simulator in VR, and as a pipeline project, explore ways to visualize data using VR applications. I was responsible for creating the VR house world and implementing the physics and object interaction, as well as player movement and interaction controls. Overall. we were able to deliver a working demo software package that allowed the user to launch into a VR headset and explore a house with set props in it for the user to find. We also included a second demo package showcasing the different methods we found for representing data through the use of VR platforms. This project taught me the importance of having a designated leader and having continuous participation communication from team members.

My responsibilities were to integrate several sponsor acquired asset packages into our main house project to accomplish a working demo. I also headed the development around asset body, collison, and physics. I had help from my team to program lighting scripts.
