Where it
all Started

Intro Project
Our design process started with simple sketches and brainstorming. Once we found a design we agreed on, we started sourcing our materials. My team and I needed to fabricate a box, 3D print a speed dial, and laser-cut an acrylic display. Once we were able to source materials, each of us took to fabricate each component separately. I was responsible for the laser-cut acrylic guage. We then came together to assemble the final product pictured above - a "Pumped Up" name plate for our team.
My additional contributions were sourcing and programming the arduino board - writing the code and also wiring the name plate with buttons, light sensors, batteries, LED lights, and our motor.
As this represented many of our first group engineering projects, we were thrilled with the end result. This was an exercise for us in team coordination and co-operation, and my team and I successfully designed and built a product using the engineering process. All-in-all, our "Pumped Up" name plate came out a striking success.
